OKLAHOMA CITY – The State Games of Oklahoma Youth Basketball Tournament has been postponed for this weekend due to inclement weather, school closings and the extremely cold conditions that will most likely not allow the roads to be cleared.
“Many of the teams, volunteers and officials travel across the state to participate in this event and our major concern is their safety and well-being”, said All-Sports Executive Director and State Games of Oklahoma CEO, Tim Brassfield.
The tournament was scheduled to be held in Norman, OK at the Sarkeys Fitness Center, formerly known as the Huston Huffman Fitness Center, and the Cleveland County YMCA. The State Games of Oklahoma Youth Basketball tournament will look to be rescheduled during the 2017 Winter Games, but in the meantime, all fees paid for the event will be refunded to the teams.
