Oklahoma City to Host 2009 Big 12 Men and Women's Basketball Championships
Oklahoma City , Okla . —The Oklahoma City All Sports Association is pleased to announce that the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men and Women's Basketball Championships will return to Oklahoma City for the second time in 2009.
After successful championships in 2007, Oklahoma City will once again be able to showcase its successful synergy that exists between its venues, entertainment district and lodging facilities.
Kansas City which has had a rich tradition of hosting the past 7 of eleven championships was awarded them in 2010 and 2011.
As in 2007, the women's championship will be played in the Cox Convention Center and the men's championship in the Ford Center.
