OKLAHOMA CITY (November 1, 2011) — Oklahoma City All Sports Association would like to announce that tickets to the 76th Annual All-College Basketball Classic will go on sale on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

The All-College Basketball Classic will be played on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the newly, renovated Chesapeake Energy Arena. The doubleheader will feature the Oklahoma Sooners playing the University of Houston at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Oklahoma State Cowboys taking on the University of New Mexico twenty-five minutes following the first game.

The All-College Basketball Classic, now in its 76th year, is the world's oldest basketball tournament, outdating the NCAA, NIT, NAIA and NBA. It was originated and sponsored for 21 years by the Oklahoma Publishing Company. In 1957, the All-College Classic became the major annual project of the Oklahoma City All Sports Association.

"The All-College Classic will once again feature a field that is worthy of the nation's oldest basketball tournament," said Tim Brassfield, executive director, Oklahoma City All Sports Association. "With Oklahoma and Oklahoma State bringing in programs that are definitely moving upward, to compete against two teams with tremendous basketball heritage, this year's event should be really special. For the 76th time, fans will focus on this tradition-rich holiday classic in downtown Oklahoma City."

The tickets, good for both games, are priced at $67, $57, $42, and $32 depending on location and can be purchased online www.ticketmaster.com or by stopping by the Chesapeake Energy Arena Box Office.

There will be a free family friendly Kid's Basketball Adventure that will take place preceding the Classic from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. The Basketball Adventure is free to the public and will feature free inflatable jumpers, games and activities for all ages.

Events hosted by the Oklahoma City All Sports Association benefit Oklahoma City by providing quality athletic competition, family entertainment and a boost in the city's economy. At the same time, the events garner widespread attention and attract visitors from around the globe to Oklahoma City, which provides $30-70 million in new money for Oklahoma City's economy each year.
