OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City All Sports Association welcomed the 2008 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship to AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City this summer, marking the city’s 10th time to host the event.

The tournament was divided into two pools, with the 1, 4, 5 and 8 seeds; Texas A&M, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma, respectively; and the 2, 3, 6 and 7 seeds; Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Baylor and Kansas State, respectively; playing for a spot in the title game.

Texas and Kansas State came out of pool play to face each other in the Big 12 Championship game, where Texas scored a tournament-high 15 runs to earn a 15-7 win over Kansas State and the 2008 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Tournament Championship.

The Big 12 Baseball Championship returns to Oklahoma City for an unprecedented 11th time next year.
